Going abroad as to staying here

Life abroad is always a goal for most people in the Philippines... for them, it always meant better lives, more income, and definitely more money...

But not for me... they can say that it's because i have everything i needed. But, do i really?

Anyway, this blog isn't really about it... it's about a choice most people encounter when given a chance. Now this ia what i think of both the situations:

Going to a foreign country to work:

You get better pay

You can provide more for your families here

You can get more by working more.

But the sad part is always:

You get lonely

You might not really be helping your family

You might not even have a family to return to

You might be drowning yourself with work while going on a super budget mode just to make sure you earn more.

But when i look at it, this is what i think... if we truly compare everything... i will still choose staying here... this is why... if we just know how to value our works here and budget everything as we would so abroad... i don't think there's still a reason why we couldn't get a better life. We will still have a chance to be with our families and friends.

Im not saying all this because i favor staying here... even if i really do

.. but because i've seen a lot of this kind of situation wherein it rarely ends up good. When you're married, one or both of you might end up cheating. If you're not married, then this will be a food option for you... this is because you still have fewer baggages to weigh in.

Now, before you even bother thinking of applying for work abroad... this about the following first...

Am i willing to sacrifice all that i have for a foreign land with no friends, nor family?

Am i not carrying any baggages with me?

Am i willing to leave everything behind, for a better future, or at least a better shot at a better life?

Am i the nomad type who can survive even without friends?

When you're done.... smile... im sure that whatever choice you make... you'll be happy in the end. But first, you have to bw true to yourself when answering the questions.
